Booster Meeting

Hello Parents

Hope this email finds you doing well. I'm writing to inform you of the upcoming Booster Meeting on Tuesday, October 11, 2011, at 7:00pm in the Band Hall. I'm really encouraging everyone to be present as we recognize our 2011-2012 sponsors.

If you are interested in riding the bus to San Antonio for Bands of America on November 5th you can sign up and pay on Tuesday night. The cost of the trip is $35.00 per person. We have 30 seats available on the current bus but will secure an additional bus based on paid people. For more information and ticket prices go to

The Holly Jolly Jog (5K Run) & Christmas Market is shaping up to be a great event. Bonnie Rodriguez is in the process of putting together the Christmas Market. She's looking for Arts and Crafts Venders and want to give first opportunity to Booster parents who sell Premier Jewelry, Tupperware, Scentsy or who have talent in making homemade items. The fee for a booth space is $50.00. Each vendor will be responsible for their own table but chairs and electricity will be provided. If you are interested contact Bonnie at for an application and more information. The deadline is this Saturday, October 8th.

I will see you all at the game on Friday night and have a great weekend.

Eric Phillips, President
MHS TIger Band Boosters

All those parents who signed up to help sew the addition to the uniform we are ready to tackle the project. We will have a cutting party on Thursday evening starting at 5:30 in the Band Hall. If you can't sew and want to help with the cutting bring your scissors and join us. If you're willing to sew you can pick up your pieces to sew on Thursday. We would like to have the project completed by Monday. If you have any questions please contact me at or Sharon Roberts at  Thanks so much

Rangers Game Volunteers Needed

Rangers Game Workers

Hello Parents

As you know the Rangers won the American League West Division and are in the Playoffs. We were asked to work the 1st Round of games but had to decline due to Friday's game and BOA on Saturday. We now have another opportunity to work the 2nd Round of games.

We are looking for volunteers (parents and/or students 16 and older) that are willing and able to work the Rangers Concessions on Thursday, October 6th, Saturday October 8th and Sunday October 9th. We don't know the times of the games yet, but could be as early as 10:00am on each day. We need 14 people per day, with 4 of them being TABC Certified and 2 Managers.

We wil split 50% of the profits with each worker!!!!!!!!!! We are aware that we have a competition on the 8th October at Birdville, but Mr. Ludlow and I really didn't think we should pass up this opportunity. So, if you are interested in working please contact Stacy Vancurine via email at or by phone (or text) at 817-504-6643.
